SARL logoAvec la publication de la nouvelle réglementation  Radioamateur de l’année dernière, ne plus parlé de limite d’âge pour les détenteurs de permis ZU a été mis en œuvre. L’Autorité a annoncé que toutes les personnes de plus de 25 ans au 1 Avril 2017 ne pourront plus renouveler leur permis ZU.
ICASA  recommande que les personnes concernées s’inscrivent au cours de licence classe A  et d’ écrire pour  le prochain RAE en Octobre 2016. Ce sera la dernière occasion.
Le règlement révisé stipule que les personnes de moins de 20 ans peuvent passer l’examen de classe B et en cas de succès peuvent détenir une licence ZU ou de classe B jusqu’à 25 ans , après quoi, si elles veulent continuer comme Radioamateur, ils doivent obtenir l’Examen de la classe A  pour se qualifier  pour une classe A (licence ZS / ZR).
Au cours de l’étape de la discussion de ce nouveau règlement , la SARL a  demandé d’aborder avec l’ICASA de revoir leur décision, la SARL a demandé  à deux reprises lors à l’ ICASA a invité des commentaires sur leur proposition. L’ICASA croit fermement que la licence de classe B objectif principal était de créer des opportunités pour les jeunes d’être Radioamateur et basé sur la mise en œuvre de la nouvelle réglementation.
La SARL a demandé L’ICASA de permettre un délai raisonnable pour les licences ZU plus de 25ans  puis se mettre à niveau. L’ICASA a accepté cela et a fixé la date finale au 31 Mars 2017 ..
